Motorcyclist killed in Bethel

Bethel, Conn (WTNH) — A motorcyclist was killed in a crash earlier today in Bethel.

Police say the rider was riding east on Mansfield Street when he suddenly left the pavement and drove onto a grassy traffic island when he fell off the motorcycle.

The rider was taken to Danbury Hospitalby ambulance where he was pronounced dead, according to police. His identity is being withheld until his family has been notified.
