Rally held in New London in response to Ferguson

New LONDON, Conn. (WTNH)–  A rally will be held in New London today in response to the events in Ferguson.

Several organizations will attend the rally that will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Parade Plaza. But starting at 11 this morning, younger marchers will gather at 60 Huntington Street to make signs to march at Parade plaza.

On August 9th, 18-year-old Michael Brown was shot and killed by a police officer in Ferguson, Missouri while he was unarmed. Since the shooting, there have been many protests and in Ferguson the protests turned violent.
