Teen hospitalized after man opens fire in crowd


STAMFORD, Conn. (WTNH)– Police in Stamford are still looking for a man they say started shooting randomly into a group late Friday night, leaving a teen hospitalized.

Police say a 19-year-old Norwalk man hit in Rippowam Park late Friday night after an unidentified man began opening fire on a group of loiterers.

He fired six to seven rounds from a gun toward the group.

The victim got a fractured skull, but the bullet didn’t do any further damage and was removed at Stamford Hospital. He is currently still in the hospital recovering.

Police said the shooting suspect was seen running south on Myano Lane following the incident. The shooting is under investigation,
