HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — U.S. Sen. Richard Blumenthal and Connecticut Attorney General George Jepsen are among the scheduled speakers at a national Internet security conference in Hartford.
The Connecticut Democrats and Hartford Mayor Pedro Segarra are set to appear at the event Monday at the Connecticut Science Center. It’s sponsored by the National Cyber Security Alliance in an effort to educate the public about online safety and security.
A panel discussion is scheduled on how consumers can protect themselves from Internet security threats.
Panelists also include John Chandy, an associate professor of electrical engineering at the University of Connecticut, and William Efron, director of the Federal Trade Commission’s Northeast region.
