Waterbury police investigate shooting death

WATERBURY, Conn. (WTNH) — Waterbury Police are still looking for suspects in last night’s deadly shooting.

The victim has been identified as 49-year-old Lewis Santiago. Police say he was from the area of Wood Street and Walnut Street, where the shooting happened about 10 p.m. Monday. Detectives were at the scene all day today looking for evidence and Police Academy recruits were searching Wood Street for evidence.

Police said it was too early to comment on the investigation.
