Drivers injured when 2 buses crash, rollover

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH)– Two people were injured after two buses collided in Hartford this morning.

Two vans collided at the intersection of Windsor and Pleasant at about 9:00 Wednesday morning.

Neither of the vans were carrying any passengers at the time. Firefighters had their hands full getting one of the drivers out of his vehicle.

“The tactical unit from the fire department cut open the roof of the white van that was on its side to get the driver out safely,” said Capt. James McLoughlin, Hartford Fire Department.

Neither of the injuries are believed to be life threatening. Police are now working to determine what factors led up to the wreck.
