Bean bags recalled after child deaths

(WTNH) — There is a recall on a type of bean bag chairs for childfren.

More than 2 million are called back because two children have died. Here’s what happened: the two kids aged 2 and 13 in Kentucky and Texas suffocated after unzipping the chairs, actually climbing inside , and then accidentally inhaling the foam beans. The bean bag chairs are made by Ace Bayou Company,

The voluntary standard requires non-refillable bean bag chairs to have closed and disabled zippers, according to Reuters.

The chairs were sold at Bon-Ton, Meijer, Pamida, School Specialty, Wayfair and Walmart stores and online at Amazon.com. They cost between $30 and $100. They were made in China.
