NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) – School season is starting and there’s a lot of stuff to get done before it begins. And then once it begins it can seem like a mad dash in the mornings to get everyone out the door.
But there are ways of making your mornings with your kids run like clockwork. You just need to implement a few changes.
Jenn McCulloch from Sunshine Organizing Services who will tell us ways to make life a little more organized.
Scheduling is one way to make sure that things get done when they need to get done.
It also gets everyone into a routine. This can help better habits to get formed more easily.
Make a checklist so that you don’t forget anything.

Items you may want to include on a checklist after school may include things like:
Unpack lunch bag
Clean up room

Organizing Containers are a great way to keep similar items together or one person’s belongings in one place.
You don’t have to spend a lot of money on the containers either.
Simple labels will help it easier to know what is inside or who’s items belong there.
Containers also make things look more neat.
Other organizing supplies include hooks for clothing and backpacks.
This can be swapped out seasonally so that a light jacket in the fall or a warm winter coat are readily available.
Sports are a great way to keep your kid active, but all of that equipment can amass quickly and become a mess.
Buying a sports rack for all sports realted items is an easy way to keep everything in one place.
” A place for everything and everything in its place” is a good motto to follow.
Shoe racks come in handy especially if you have a lot of kids.
