HAMDEN, Conn. (WTNH)– The raccoon that attacked an elderly woman in Hamden on Sunday was rabid.

Hamden Animal Control tells News 8 that they got the results Tuesday from the State Public Health Department. The results showed that the raccoon, that got into the 88-year-old woman’s house and attacked her on Sunday, had tested positive for rabies.
