Norwalk PD warn of distracted burglaries

Norwalk Police Department.

NORWALK, Conn. (WTNH)– People in Norwalk are getting ripped off by thieves while fake workers are distracting them.

Police say one burglar distracts the homeowner in front of house talking about landscaping or other things. The other man sneaks in the house burglarizing it and then slides out without being seen.

Police are saying this can happen anywhere, so homeowners should not just shrug it off if it didn’t happen near them. Homeowners need to be aware and on the look out.

News 8’s Josh Scheinblum was at the Norwalk police department Sunday night with more on what you need to look out for.
