Toddler struck by car in New Haven

Blatchley Avenue and Lombard Street in New Haven where toddler was struck by a car.

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH)– A toddler was hit by a car in New Haven, Tuesday night.

It happened just before 9 p.m. on Blatchley Avenue and Lombard Street. Police say the child was between 1 and 2 years old and was wondering around alone.

The child was taken to an area hospital but is expected to be okay.

The driver did stay on the scene and was cooperative with police. The incident is under investigation.
