PERRY TOWNSHIP Pa. (WTNH) — Some Pennsylvania residents took matters into their own hands to help out a bear with its head stuck in a bucket.
It happened in Perry Township, about 40 miles north of Harrisburg. The male cub was spotted in June with a bucket stuck on its head. The bear walked around with the bucket for two months.
A local game commissioner said there wasn’t anything wildlife officials could do because the bear wasn’t hurting anyone.
That didn’t sit well with some people. As home video shows, a couple of people got a hold of the bear and they used a bowsaw to cut the bucket and free the bear. It ran off into the woods.
