PD: SHU student sexually assaulted, attacker at large

FAIRFIELD, Conn. (WTNH)– Fairfield police are still looking for the man they say broke into a Sacred Heart University student’s off campus home and sexually assaulted her.

They released a sketch of the man, they say attacked and sexually assaulted the student Monday morning at her home on Berkeley road. Wednesday, the university issued a statement saying they don’t believe he is a Sacred Heart student.

Students on campus are on edge.

“I’m living off campus for the first time this year and you don’t really think about things like that until it happens, said student Jake Ustjanauskas.

It’s really upsetting kind of,” said Bridget Thornton, another student at Sacred Heart.
