Naugatuck, Conn. (WTNH) – A husband and wife are now facing charges of cruelty to animals, after they allegedly left their dog locked inside a hot car.  This happened Monday, Labor Day, at 12pm, when temperatures were very high. The couple was inside a store at the Stop & Shop Plaza, while the dog was left inside the car.  The windows were cracked, but police say it was still hot inside the vehicle. The dog was not hurt.  The couple are identified as Lisa and David Stumpo.
