Pedestrian struck near Hamden High

HAMDEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Police and EMTs are heading to the scene of a pedestrian accident near Hamden High School.

The call came in around 9 a.m. when a person was struck by a car near 2111 Dixwell Ave., near the high school and Hamden Plaza.

There was no immediate word on the condition, age or identity of the person struck. It’s unclear how traffic on the busy road is being affected.

A News 8 crew is heading to the scene to get pictures and information from authorities.
