Report It Recap – Sept. 5, 2014

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) —  This week, you challenged us to squeeze as many pictures we could into the Report!t Recap. And we accepted the challenge.

We saw a little bit of everything during the first week of September – from foggy mornings to beach scenes. You shared a couple getting married and another celebrating 72 years together. Some of you even took us on the road with you — Kathy saw an Alligator in South Carolina, Justin saw the Mets play and win in Miami and John shared his photo from his visit to the Alamo.

And we got a great video featuring workers at Harco in Branford doing the ALS “Ice Bucket Challenge.”

But once again this past week, you packed the Report!t inbox with back to school pictures. We saw so many smiling kids — from pre-school to high school — with unquestionable style and big dreams for the future. As parents, we know these are the moments, the pictures, we’ll cherish because our kids grow up fast.

Speaking of fast, runners took over the streets of downtown New Haven Monday in the New Haven Road Race. A few ran to win, but most ran for fun and to be part of a Labor Day tradition.
