Driver who went past school bus charged

VERNON, Conn. (WTNH)- A Vernon man is arrested for allegedly passing a school bus while he was evading police. Sean Hills was involved in evading accident on East St near Hale at appx 3:20 pm. Around the time of the accident, he also allegedly passed a school bus that was stopped with flashing lights activated and a student was crossing the road. One student said he saw the truck coming and was able to run out of the street. The child was not injured. Hills was allegedly was using his boss’ truck at the time, which he did not have permission to use. A witness followed Hills from the accident scene to his house on Tolland Ave. Police located the truck parked behind his house. He was held overnight on bond and appeared in Rockville Court today.
