HAMDEN, Conn. (WTNH)– Hamden police are searching for the person who broke into a home and took off with a purse and car keys.

Police say the suspect crawled through an unlocked window while the homeowners were sleeping on West Helen Street.

Hamden Police are still searching for the man wanted in connection with a burglary last week that happened on Mix Avenue. Police say a woman was robbed at gunpoint and again got away with her purse.

Also just days before that, a woman who was sleeping in her apartment on Kay View Drive was tied up by a suspect and her debit card was stolen along with her car.

There have been nearly forty burglaries in Hamden just this month.
