WESTPORT, Conn. (WTNH) — A Waterbury man will be in court twice next week. Dean Hinton, 47, is accused of stealing credit cards and going on a shopping spree.
It happened on Saturday, police say Hinton walked into the Connecticut Humane Society in Westport and then walked out with four credits cards he’d taken out of a purse. Hinton is then accused of going shopping with those cards. Police tracked him down and found the cards and things he’d bought. They also discovered he was wanted for probation violation.
He’s being held on a total of $45,000 bond and will be in court for the credit card theft and probation violation next week.
