Two killed in Southington motorcycle crash

SOUTHINGTON, Conn. (WTNH) — Two people died in a crash involving a car and motorcycle in Southington Tuesday night.

It happened just before 10 p.m. on the Meriden-Waterbury Turnpike/Route 322 near Canal Street. Police say 37-year-old Adam Hicks of Meriden struck a car with his 2001 Harley Davidson motorcycle. The car was pulling out of a commercial driveway at the time, police said.

Hicks was pronounced dead at the scene.

The passenger on his motorcycle, Amanda Horvath, 26, of Bristol, was rushed to the hospital but died from her injuries.

Anyone who may have witnessed the accident is asked to contact Southington Police.
