Prospector Theater, which caters to those with disabilities, opens in Ridgefield in November

The Prospector Theater, a first of its kind movie house in the U.S. will open for business in November in downtown Ridgefield. The theater is the brainchild of Valerie Jensen, whose sister has Down Syndrome.

Valerie wants people like her sister and others with disabilities to feel wanted and needed. So, over four years, she revitalized a vacant movie theater and her dream is now a reality.

It’s all on tonight’s edition of “Nyberg.”
