Man Attacks Dog

OLD SAYBROOK, Conn. (WTNH) – Police in Old Saybrook have arrested a man they say attacked a police dog.   Cops were called to Essex Saving Bank Thursday afternoon, on a report of someone trying to cash a fraudulent check.   Police say when they arrived, 28-year-old Jacoun Harden was leaving and then started to run when he saw them.

The officer and his K-9 partner named Zeus chased after him.  One one point, Zeus was about to apprehend the suspect when Harden allegedly kicked Zeus in the face. The chase then continued, until police finally caught up with Harden.

Now he is facing multiple charges including Assault of a Police Canine, Interfering with Police and Attempted Larceny.  He’s currently being held on bond.

Zeus was not injured and has resume full duty.
