Naugatuck man accused of punching child

Naugatuck, Conn. (WTNH) — Naugatuck police have arrested a man for allegedly slapping and punching a child he was watching.

On Thursday night at 10:20pm, officers responded to a domestic disturbance call involving a juvenile. The caller told police that 28-year-old Daniel Bryant of Naugatuck was slapping and punching a child he was looking after. Police responded, and arrested Bryant on charges of assault, disorderly conduct, and risk of injury

Bryant was scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Wednesday. He was held on a $2,500 surety bond.
