Armed robbery at Norwich liquor store

NORWICH, Conn. (WTNH)– Norwich police were called to a liquor store on West Thames Street on Sunday afternoon.

Police say Christopher Griswold, 34, went into the Amazing Liquor Store around 2:30 p.m., showed a gun, and demanded money from the register. They say Griswold fled on foot heading north on West Thames Street towards Dunham Street.

He was arrested on Monday.

Griswold is charged with first-degree robbery, first-degree threatening, criminal use of a firearm, and sixth-degree larceny. He is being held on $250,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Norwich Superior Court on Tuesday.
