Police identify body found in Windham

WINDHAM, Conn. (WTNH)– State police have identified the body of a woman that was found in Windham over the weekend.

Police say the body is 25-year-old Melissa Hansen of Windham who was last seen Friday. Her body was found around 8 o’clock Sunday morning near Route 203 and Route 32.

So far there is no word on a cause of death.

State police issued a silver alert for Hansen on Saturday and had been using dogs to search for her. Police are still waiting for autopsy results.
