8-year-old with Down Syndrome scores touchdown

(WTNH)– 8-year-old Gabe White got a taste of his dream a little early. Gabe, who suffers from Down Syndrome, usually cheers for his big brother from the sidelines, but over the weekend he got a chance to take the field at a high school in Wisconsin. Here’s what happened.

Gabe was named the honorary team captain for the game. His family says he’s the team’s biggest fan and hopes to get to play one day.

Both teams stayed out on the field for one last play when the game ended, giving Gabe a chance to score.
