EAST HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — If you’re a college student getting ready to enter the working world, you’ll want to stop by Rentschler Field in East Hartford today. There’s a job fair starting at 11a.m.
The ‘College 2 Career Expo’ is in it’s 11th year. Representatives from more than 50 companies will be on hand until 3p.m. in the facility’s ballroom. They’re available to talk about possible career opportunities. Certified Professional Resume Writers from the Connecticut Department of Labor will also be on hand and available to help perfect your resume. They will be offering advise, reviewing and critiquing student’s resumes to help ensure that they effectively showcase the appropriate skills and accomplishments.
Labor Department employees will also be available to critique student’s LinkedIn profiles. They be helping students sharpen content, suggest formatting changes to improve layout, create strong headlines, and discuss photo options for LinkedIn pages.
The event is sponsored by the Springfield Economic Partnership, Enterprise Holdings, The Connecticut Department of Labor and local colleges and universities in Connecticut and Western Massachusetts.
