Stratford, Conn. (WTNH) — A 24-year-old woman was arrested after allegedly assaulting another person at the motel they were both staying at.

Police say Katrina Montgomery of Stratford hit another resident while holding her small child.

Authorities received reports that she was armed with a small knife during the incident, but they found no evidence of that.

She initially refused to be taken into custody, which led to other charges.

Montgomery is charged with Risk of Injury to a Minor, Second-Degree Assault, and Interfering with an Officer.
