FAIRFIELD, Conn. (WTNH) — Fairfield Police are investigating a report of a stranger in a vehicle that approached a juvenile standing outside a Rite Aid.
The child was waiting in the front parking lot of the Rite Aid on Post road while the mother was inside shopping, according to police.
Officials received the initial report on Friday, October 24th.
Police say a driver operating a minivan drove up next to the child and made inappropriate comments. The driver even offered the kid a gift.
The child said “no” and backed away from the vehicle. The vehicle then left through the rear driveway of the Rite Aid, reports say.
The vehicle was described as an “older brown or tan minivan”, according to police. They also say the operator of the vehicle was described as a “heavy set” male with a heavy Hispanic accent, dark skinned, with dark “Slicked back” hair, wearing dark clothing.
The incident is currently under investigation.
