Great week for weather lovers as a series of developing lows moving in from the High Plains and developing in the Mid Atlantic (Low also developing off the Floridian coast for Tue-Wed) . I’m also watching a cold front…With all the patterns going on, it’ll be a fun week to forecast!
First of all, if you live along the shoreline go get yourself some salt and prepare your sidewalks for Thursday-Friday. The biggest story right now is the coastal low that will develop, now models show this heading out to sea, BUT we could get clipper by the right rear quadrant overnight Thu-Fri and drop some light snow. With temps below freezing Thu & Fri, any liquid will clearly freeze on the ground. I also see some flurries overnight Saturday into Sunday (too far out)
Otherwise a warm-up in process through Wednesday with temps well above normal. Sct’d shower Tuesday and overnight into Wednesday, Low from FL and cold front brings us showers on Wednesday. Winds increase and shift NW, then wait for the dramatic temperature drop. By Friday we’ll have highs in the upper 30’s but mainly in the low 40’s.
