More trains added to Metro-North’s new schedule

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH)– Metro-North will have more service during the weekday and the weekend. They just issued a new schedule that started on Sunday.

It’s good news for people who ride Metro-North. Trains have now been added to their weekend and weekday schedules. There are more “Weekday Off Peak” trains, as well as service every half hour on the weekends between New Haven and Grand Central.

Metro-North is also adding two more express trains on the weekends which should get commuters in the city in just over an hour and a half.

The overall changes range from one to five minutes so be sure to check the timetables. The PM reverse peak trains arriving in Grand Central between 5 and 7 p.m. have an one to two minutes of tuning time between Harlem and 125th street.

Metro-North is also adding weekday off peak and weekend half-hourly service between New Haven and Grand Central.
