Police searching for New Haven bank robber

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH)- New Haven police are searching for a man who witnesses say robbed a Wells Fargo on Saturday November 8.

Around 12 p.m. officers were dispatched to the Wells Fargo at 388 Whalley Avenue. When they arrived bank workers told investigators the suspect had passed a note demanding money. The teller gave the man $250 in ten dollar bills.

The suspect is being described as a white man, approximately 5’07” tall with scruffy blond facial hair in his middle thirties. He’s thought to have some sort of scar or marking on his cheek. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and baseball cap when he fled the bank after robbing it.
