How To Cheat and Still Lose Weight! OR The Morning After Diet-How to Fix a Bad Eating Day!
Don’t you wish you could dig into your favorite foods and not gain weight? You can! Have you ever wondered how the celebrities do it? Their entire life is one big party with constant fancy dinners out. Here are the slimming secrets (aka smart strategies) that will keep you in red carpet shape so that when New Year’s arrives you’ll be the same size you are now or lighter!
Most of us think we are supposed to be perfect 100% of the time when we are trying to lose weight but guess what….nothing could be further from the truth! Perfection does not exist!
I tell all of my clients to focus on progress not perfection. Focus on the 80/20 rule. 80% clean diet and-20% “off” is a real life weight loss strategy anyone can follow and you’ll still be able to indulge without growing a bulge!
There are a few simple strategies that you need to know in order to succeed at losing. When it comes to weight loss most of us think we do eat clean 80% of the time.
Fat fact; if your overweight and you’re not losing weight you’re eating is upside down-20% is “on” and 80% of the time you’re off track. Here is where most people fall victim to off eating and wonder why they can’t lose weight despite the fact that they only eat “a little”.
Follow The Three Bite Rule:
Take 3 bites of your food of choice.
After three bites the food tastes the same anyway. Three bites is usually around 100 calories depending on how calorically dense the food your nibbling is. Your diet SHOULD have a budget already set aside every day for “real Life bites” that we all take yet never write down in our journal!
Can’t stop at 3 bites? Stay away from that food! It’s easier to refrain than limit ourselves if certain foods trigger a binge (over eating/lack of portion control) response. Psssst…This is my little secret to maintaining my 40 pound weight loss!
I abstain from foods such as bagel, pizza and alcohol because I can’t portion control them and maintaining my weight has never been easier.
Plan Out your Cheats Ahead of Time Leaving Yourself For Wiggle Room!

If they eat perfectly at breakfast they have wiggle room for the food they crave later in the day!
Boost breakfasts metabolic powers by eating thermogenically! This can be as simple as drinking a low carb- low fat metabolic boosting protein shake
And pushing away the carbs and fat that most healthy breakfast contain.
BUT be sure to have your Metabolic boosting protein shake made without fruit or milk of any kind (this includes almonds and soy) vs

This is a recipe for diet disaster and by Lunch time you’ve already “over spent” your daily budget on carbs and fat leaving you no room for slip ups.
Fat loss fact: drinking your protein at breakfast is the fastest, easiest way to lose weight! It shuts off our hunger mechanism and boosts metabolism 25% while blocking cortisol from rising which causes us to store fat around your waste, hips and thighs.
Let Loose On The Weekends:
Not! The truth is …if your overweight your letting loose too often. Our metabolisms need to be rebooted after a few days of overeating unless you’re cheating on white fish & veggies. It takes 4 days of Thermogenic (no cheating eating) for your metabolism to re boot itself and get primed for fat burning. This is why it’s crucial to plan ahead and remove your emotions so that you enjoy parties and dinner out and not gain an ounce! If Christmas is on Thursday and you know you’ll indulge that day, eat Thermogenically for 4 days leading up to the event and 4 days after and you’ll actually boost your metabolism vs slow it down.
Walk It off Every day!
Get that pedometer out and measure your steps every day! We are all supposed to get 10K steps daily! In fat if you’re getting 10 thousand steps every day you don’t need to step foot on treadmill HOW EVER when your calories go over-so should your exercise! THINK before you cheat! If you’re trying to decide if your cheat food is worth it-hit the google bar and look up the calories your cheat food contains. That handful of peanuts at a holiday party or second glass of wine might cost you 2 hours extra on the treadmill
