White Christmas?

Are you dreaming of a white Christmas? Connecticut is under the 25%-40% chance to see a white Christmas.

The map above shows the historic probability of there being at least 1-inch of snow on the ground in the Lower 48 states on December 25 based on the latest (1981-2010) U.S. Climate Normals from NOAA’s National Climatic Data Center.  Dark gray shows places where the probability is less than 10%, while white shows probabilities greater than 90%.

Will we see a white Christmas this year? Well if you’re a snow lover, the early indications do have a low pressure system moving in around Christmas Eve into Christmas morning. As of now it seems to be of the snow variety.  This is still over a week away, so things will change.  But keep it here with WXEdge!
