99-year-old woman victim of strong-arm robbery

WINDSOR, Conn. (WTNH)– Windsor police are investigating the strong-arm robbery of a 99-year-old woman.

Police say around 9 a.m. Wednesday they received a call of a robbery at the L.P. Wilson Community Center on Matianuck Avenue. They say the suspect did not use any weapons during the robbery. The elderly victim was not injured and did not receive medical treatment.

According to police, a Hartford K-9 unit searched for the suspect, who fled on foot, but he was not found. That suspect is described as a black man, allegedly in his late teens, wearing a grey hoodie, jeans, and a dark jacket.

Police say they are pursuing several leads and expect to make an arrest in the near future.
