Meriden home catches fire twice in two days

MERIDEN, Conn. (WTNH)– The same Meirden home catches fire twice in two days.

Firefighters were again called to 116 Capitol Avenue around 9 a.m. Wednesday. This time, no one was home.

Tuesday, the family who lives there was inside when the fire started. They and their pers were able to get out safely.

The family says they’re not sure exactly what happened.

“Obviously the fire must have rekindled, that’s how it stands right now, and they’re investigating and everything right now,” said Eddie Dudley. “It’s just more damage on top of damage, but we’ll get through it one day at a time. Thank God nobody got hurt.

The family is currently staying at a motel.

The causes both fires are still under investigation.
