14-year-old driver hits school bus

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH)– New Haven police were called to an accident involving a school bus just after noon Tuesday. Police say no students were on the bus at the time of the accident.

According to police, a 14-year-old girl was driving at Whalley and Sherman Avenues when she hit the bus and two other cars. She was taken to Yale-New Haven’s Children’s Hospital with minor injuries, police say. No other injuries were reported.

Police say the girl’s mother was found and brought to the hospital.

Investigators are still working on the case, according to police.
