Recommendations for Connecticut Veterans Home due Friday

Connecticut Veterans Home in Rocky Hill (WTNH)

ROCKY HILL, Conn. (WTNH) — Recommendations to improve the Connecticut Veterans Home in Rocky Hill will be presented to lawmakers today.

A committee of nonpartisan staff members has been looking at the facility to see how it is run. The main issue that has raised concerns is whether residential services are up to par. The concerns stem from some people who live there that have complained about the treatment.

The panel will present its findings and recommendations to lawmakers Friday afternoon. After today’s meeting, some of those proposals could be brought to the full legislature during the upcoming session.

News 8 will be covering today’s meeting, and will update this story with details after the meeting has concluded.
