Kid’s letter to Santa gets grandfather Christmas off from work

MADISON, Conn. (WTNH)– A Madison Beach Hotel employee now has Christmas Day off from work thanks to his grandson, the hotel GM and of course Santa Claus.

It all began when a little boy wrote to Santa asking that his grandfather, a staff member of the Madison Beach Hotel, contact his boss, hotel GM John Mathers, and ask him to give his grandfather Christmas day off so he could “be with his grand-kids and family.”  Julian, along with Matthew, Jayden and Jesse wrote that it was their “greatest wish,” and of course if Santa had time, an Xbox 360 as well.

Santa got to work quickly and called Mr. Mathers from the North Pole. Mathers then sent out an adorable memo to their grandfather, Leo Otero, telling him that Santa personally contacted him and that he thinks it would be best if he took off Christmas day to be with his grandchildren.
