Firefighters deliver toys

STAMFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Firefighters in Stamford will be out again today to deliver toys to children in need this holiday season.

The Stamford Professional Fire Fighters Association has about 3,000 toys to hand out, thanks to its annual toy drive. And, on Saturday, Santa and firefighters teamed up to deliver about 500 of those toys. They drove an antique fire truck full of treats to the 200 children at the Franklin Street Shelter.

Today they’ll swing by the Salvation Army, Wilson Food Pantry, and Stamford Hospital to drop off more presents.
