Two accused of using fraudulent credit cards at Milford mall

MILFORD, Conn. (WTNH)– Two men were arrested at the Connecticut Post Mall Monday after police say they purchased gift cards using fraudulent credit cards.

Police say 26-year-old Charles Hamilton of Tampa, Fla. and 26-year-old Akeem Henry of New York, N.Y. used counterfeit credit cards to buy 31 gift cards worth a total of $12,400 at Macy’s. They say the suspects became combative with store employees, with one of them biting an employee’s hand.

Hamiltion and Henry are both charged with second-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit second-degree larceny, illegal use of a credit card, credit card theft, credit card fraud, and other crimes.

The suspects were each held on $250,000 bond. Both were scheduled to appear in Milford Superior Court Tuesday.
