Route 163 reopened after a car hit utility pole

MONTVILLE, Conn. (WTNH) – Route 163 is reopened in Montville after a car hit a utility pole Friday morning.

According to the Connecticut Department of Transportation the accident happened just before 6:30 a.m.

Route 163 is reopened at Meeting House Lane where the accident happened. The Connecticut Department of Transportation said it will be closed until Saturday morning at the latest.

Police are investigating the crash and utility crews were able to clear the area before 8 a.m.
