FAFSA now accepting applications for Fall 2015

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — FAFSA is now accepting applications for fall 2015. The application process opened on New Year’s Day.

The paperwork helps prospective students get money for nationwide financial aid. If you apply early, experts say, you have a better shot of getting more money than someone who applies closer to the deadline.

The FAFSA application is for money from federal government, state governments, and schools. The money comes in a variety of ways including loans, scholarships, grants, and work-study opportunities.

Depending on where you live and what time of aid you are applying for there are different deadlines to fill out your FAFSA application by.
