(WTNH) — Pop superstar Taylor Swift released a video this week highlighting some of the gifts she gave for the holidays, and her stop to visit a family in North Haven was included.

Swift picked out a group of fans and sent them gifts for the holiday season. The video show Swift explaining her reasoning for giving the gifts, and shows her wrapping the presents before sending them out to their lucky recipients.

On November 14th, Swift traveled to North Haven to visit with 2-year-old Leighton Barnette. Barnette’s mom, Stephanie, is a Taylor Swift super-fan and has several social media accounts dedicated to Swift and her music.

Recently, one of her many instagram posts got swift’s attention.

“She saw a picture of my son with a little story I had written for her and she saw it and since then she has just been really sweet about him,” said Stephanie.

Swift popped in unannounced and dropped off some toys for Leighton. It was almost more than Stephanie could bare.

“I gave her a hug and thanked her and somehow I managed to stay rational while she was here,” said Stephanie. “As soon as she left I kind of fell on the couch and sobbed.”

Coffee drinkers at the North Haven Starbucks got the surprise of a lifetime when Swift stopped in to get a cup of coffee. Swift posed for pictures with a few excited fans before heading to the Barnette home.
