VIDEO: Meriden car fire spreads to building


MERIDEN, Conn. (WTNH)– The Meriden Fire Department responded to a fire early Thursday morning.

Fire officials say a caller reported a car fire next to a condo at 69 Woodland Ridge. The fire then spread to all three floors of that condo, according to the fire department. They say there was heavy fire in the building’s attic.

The Meriden Fire Department says one person had to be rescued from a second-floor balcony, but no one was injured in the blaze.

According to the fire department, the fire has been ruled accidental.
