Greenwich car chase arrest

Greenwich, Conn.– (WTNH) Greenwich police say they arrested and charged a New York man for sparking a chase through the city and onto I-95.

Police say 24-year-old Steven Rodas of Port Chester, NY. was caught driving west on Rich Avenue in Greenwich with no headlights.

Police tried to stop him, but say he sped away in the 2006 Ford Freestyle, which police say he stole from an acquaintance at the the Armstrong Court apartment complex.

Rodas ended up crashing the car on I-95 just north of exit 2.

No one was hurt.

He is being held on a $25,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior court on January 12.

He faces a long list of charges including, second-degree larceny, criminal trespassing and engaging police in a pursuit.
