Police arrest three suspects in attempted robbery

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (WTNH) –  Delivery drivers continue to be targeted here in Connecticut.  Three teenagers have been arrested in Bridgeport for trying to rob a Papa John’s delivery driver.

Police went to Coleman Street just after midnight on a report of an attempted robbery. The 43-year-old driver says he was approached by three people wearing ski masks. He managed to get back in his car before they were able to reach him.

The driver followed the suspects Honda Accord and gave the license plate number to police. Officers found the two boys, ages 15 years old and 17 years old at Spring Street and Noble Avenue.

The third suspect was 16-year-old girl who was found a short time later. She confessed she placed the order. The suspects are charged with criminal attempt to commit robbery. Police recovered masks and gloves inside the Honda Accord.
