Newington Man Sentenced in Mortgage Fraud

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH)- A 56-year-old Newington man was sentenced in a Hartford court today in connection with a mortgage fraud scheme. Filippos or Filip Milios was sentenced to 97 months behind bars, with 5 years of supervised release, for the fraud scheme involving dozens of Connecticut properties, and $5,7 million in losses to lenders.

Officials say Milios conspired to defraud banks and mortgage lenders from June 2005 to July 2010.
