State Rep. for 107th district resigns

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH)- State Representative David Scribner (R-107) wasn’t sworn in today, and has officially resigned. Scribner won re-election, but has since resigned.

As a result of his resignation, there is an opening in the 107th House District, which covers Brookfield and parts of Danbury and Bethel. Governor Malloy has until January 17 to issue a Writ of Special Election, and that special election must be held within 46 days.
