Police make arrest in Hamden burglary

HAMDEN, Conn., (WTNH) – Police officials have arrested the man they say is responsible for a September 29th burglary at a residential home in Hamden.

Since the burglary took place, police have been searching for the person who broke into a home on West Helen Street.

The suspect gained entrance into the house by cutting the screen in the rear window while the owners were asleep. Once inside the home, the man stole money, credit cards, and keys.

Detective Sean Dolan conducted an investigation that helped him obtain an arrest warrant for Marcello Bobe, 24, of Hamden. The court later approved the application.

On January 8th, Bobe was arrested in Meriden Superior Court while he was facing charges from a different incident. He was charged with Burglary in the 1st Degree and Larceny in the 6th Degree. He was later arraigned after his arrest.
